Selective Herbicides

Spearhead*

SPEARHEAD is a selective herbicide for the control of broad-leaved weeds in established turf.
Contains 20 g/l (1.72% w/w) clopyralid, 15.9 g/l (1.45% w/w) diflufenican and 300 g/l (25.9% w/w) MCPA.

One single application controls turf weeds for the active season

With its unique chemistry it controls problem weeds like speedwell and clovers

Can be applied to turf as young as two weeks with outstanding results

Broad spectrum, residual activity Low dose rate

Timing

For best results, the grass and weeds should be actively growing at the time of treatment. In most years, treatment during the early part of the season is recommended although spraying at any time between April and September will be effective, except during drought or waterlogged conditions.

Mowing

Avoid mowing during the 3 - 4 days preceding or following treatment.

CUTTINGS FROM THE TREATED AREA MUST NOT BE USED AS A MULCH FOR SOFT FRUIT, VEGETABLES, ORNAMENTALS OR ANY OTHER CROP.

Cautions

Only use SPEARHEAD on turf when the sward is satisfactorily established and regular mowing has begun under normal good management. Turf sown in the spring or early summer may be ready for spraying after approximately two months, but turf sown in the late summer or autumn should not be sprayed until growth is resumed in the following spring, perhaps eight months after sowing. Applications made under or followed by adverse conditions such as waterlogged and/or cold conditions may result in transient damage. Do not overlap spray swaths.

Drift

AVOID spray drift as much as possible, working under conditions of little or no wind. Small amounts of SPEARHEAD spray may cause serious injury to herbaceous plants, vegetables, fruit and glasshouse crops

Vehicle mounted hydraulic sprayer
