SCORPIO® has a revolutionary mesostemic mode of action, delivering highly efficient preventative and curative control of a broad spectrum of turf diseases including Fusarium and Red Thread in the UK. Extensive global trials have shown that the following diseases are controlled by SCORPIO®:
- Fusarium Patch - Leaf Spot
- Red Thread - Rust
- Summer Patch - Brown Patch

Do not apply during drought conditions or to frozen turf.
Use Areas
SCORPIO® may be used on established turf including:
- Golf courses - Parks
- Institutional, commercial - Municipal grounds
and residential lawns - Cemeteries
- Sports fields
SCORPIO® is an easy to use, water dispersible granule, supplied in a novel new pack. This makes measuring the granules highly accurate and greatly reduces operator exposure. SCORPIO® has been registered in the US as Compass for five years as a reduced risk pesticide.
Unique Mesostemic Mode of Action
The advantages of this are:
- The unique chemistry at work in SCORPIO® defines a new class of
fungicides: oximinacetates.
- Oximinacetates have a high affinity with the plant surface and is absorbed readily by the waxy layers of the plant.
- It redistributes at the plant surface by superficial vapour movement and penetrates the plant tissue.
- There is little or no movement within the plant’s vascular system so SCORPIO® becomes embedded or locked-in, providing long lasting, weather-proof disease protection.
Application Timing
Apply at the first sign of disease. SCORPIO® can also be used in a preventative control programme.
Rainfastness
Once the spray application has dried on the leaf surface, rainfall will not interfere with its ability to control disease, due to the locked in reservoir of protection being created. SCORPIO® has been proven to be rainfast within 2 hrs of application.
Application in low temperatures
It has been proven that SCORPIO® can be applied at low temperatures, as long as the contents of the tank/knapsack remain as a liquid, and that there is no snow cover.
